Equipment Planning

Baylor College of Medicine is building the Baylor Clinic and Hospital on a 35-acre tract of land owned by the College since 1988 and located in the Texas Medical Center's mid-campus. The Baylor Clinic and Hospital are expected to open in the summer of 2010.

Services:

BCM's adult healthcare facility will include main service lines that reflect the college's signature areas of excellence: cardiovascular, neurology, oncology, transplantation, orthopedics, general medicine, and surgery. All other specialties will be offered except pediatrics and obstetrics (provided at Texas Children's Hospital), psychiatry (Menninger Clinic), and intense rehabilitation services (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research). Adult emergency services will be available, but no trauma center. Patient care will be driven by science and tailored to each patient's individual needs based on his or her genetic map, making Baylor Clinic & Hospital the destination of choice for personalized healthcare.
